Job Title: Soft Skills Trainer

Location: Siliguri, West Bengal 
Job Type: Full-time
Experience: 1-6 years (Preferred: English Language/Communication Skills Background)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Soft Skills Trainer with a background in English language teaching. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering interactive and impactful training sessions on communication, personality development, and workplace etiquette, with a strong focus on improving English proficiency and soft skills of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging training sessions on soft skills such as:

  • Communication (verbal and written)

  • Presentation skills

  • Body language and public speaking

  • Teamwork and collaboration

  • Time management and goal setting

  • Interview preparation and business etiquette

• Incorporate English language learning techniques into soft skill modules to improve fluency, vocabulary, and grammar.

• Conduct needs assessments and customize training content accordingly; use assessment results to measure progress and adapt pedagogy.

• Develop training materials, interactive handouts, rubrics, and assessments; create measurable learning objectives and outcomes.

• Monitor progress of trainees and provide regular, actionable feedback; maintain learner records and progress reports.

• Coordinate with academic or HR teams for scheduling, stakeholder reporting, and alignment with organizational goals.

• Conduct workshops, webinars, blended-learning sessions, and one-on-one coaching; apply adult learning principles and varied delivery modes.

• Evaluate training effectiveness using simple evaluation frameworks (e.g., feedback surveys, pre/post assessments, basic Kirkpatrick level measures).
  

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communication, Education, or a related field.

• Strong command of spoken and written English; ability to teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday workplace communication.

• Demonstrated classroom or online training delivery experience (relevant teaching or training experience; minimum 1 year).

• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage learners of different ages and proficiency levels.

• Ability to design assessments, evaluate learner progress, and provide constructive coaching.

• Basic digital literacy: comfortable using video-conferencing tools (Zoom/Google Meet) and presentation software (PowerPoint/Google Slides).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an English faculty/trainer (2+ years).

• Certifications such as TESOL/TEFL/CELTA, or training certifications in soft skills/corporate training.

• Experience with curriculum or assessment design, corporate training exposure, or working with diverse learner groups.

• Familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, Google Classroom or equivalent), learning analytics, and basic content creation tools (Canva, simple audio/video recording/editing).

• Strong organizational skills for course planning, scheduling, and reporting.
