The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating young children (ages 3–6) by creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment. The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate learning activities that promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of each child.
Develop and implement a creative, play-based curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
Organize and lead daily classroom activities including storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.
Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
Manage classroom behavior positively and maintain discipline in a nurturing manner.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan events, celebrations, and special projects.
Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization according to school policies.
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions as required.
Ensure the emotional and physical well-being of every child in the classroom.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education / Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) / Montessori Training or equivalent.
Previous experience as a preschool or kindergarten teacher preferred.
Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
Ability to plan and manage classroom activities effectively.
