Job Description:

New Horizon Scholars School, Rodas is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic School Librarian to manage and develop the school library, promote reading habits, and support students and teachers in their academic journey.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science or relevant field

• 2–3 years of experience as a School Librarian

• Familiarity with library management systems and basic computer skills

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Passion for books, reading, and student development

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library

• Organize, catalog, and maintain books, digital resources, and reference materials

• Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources effectively

• Encourage reading culture through library periods, book clubs, and reading programs

• Maintain records of issued/returned books and inventory

• Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum-related reading and research

• Ensure a quiet, safe, and welcoming library environment

• Plan and conduct library orientations and literacy activities

• Stay updated with new books, educational resources, and library best practices
