Security Supervisor

1. Core Security & Technical Skills

• Patrolling & Surveillance: Ability to conduct physical inspections and monitor facility activities.

• Security Gadget Operation: Familiarity with operating and checking equipment like CCTV systems, metal detectors, and walkie-talkies.

• Documentation & Record Keeping: Proficiency in managing security registers, visitor logbooks, gate passes, and material tracking logs.

• Incident Investigation & Reporting: Experience in assisting with basic investigations, logging safety breaches, and writing clear incident reports.

• Safety & Emergency Readiness: Knowledge of emergency drill procedures (e.g., fire drills) and standard evacuation protocols.

2. Leadership & Team Management Skills

• Guard Supervision & Scheduling: Capability to oversee lower-level guards, manage shift rotations, and enforce daily duties.

• Training & Coaching: Skill in conducting daily briefings and delivering basic operational and security training programs.

• Discipline & Standards Enforcement: Ability to maintain uniform standards, physical fitness, and professional grooming across the team.

• Candidate Assessment: Capability to evaluate the communication skills and fitness of potential security recruits.

3. Interpersonal & Communication Skills

• Customer Service Mindset: Ability to interact politely, firmly, and professionally with employees, visitors, customers, and residents.

• Conflict De-escalation: Skill in calmly handling disruptive individuals and escorting unauthorized persons off premises without escalating tension.

• Verbal & Written Communication: Clear communication for handling phone inquiries, liaising with department heads, and securing manager approvals on logs.
