The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of project assets, employees, visitors, and the public across the Coimbatore Smart City (7 Lakes) maintenance project. The role involves supervising security guards, monitoring public activities, preventing unauthorized access, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe, secure, and disciplined environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor security personnel deployed across all project locations.

• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections at all assigned sites.

• Ensure proper access control for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.

• Prevent unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other security breaches.

• Handle public complaints, disputes, and emergency situations professionally.

• Coordinate with local Police, Fire, Ambulance, and Government authorities whenever required.

• Monitor CCTV systems, security equipment, and communication devices.

• Prepare daily security reports, incident reports, and shift handover reports.

• Investigate security incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure all guards are well-groomed, disciplined, and follow company SOPs.

• Conduct security briefings, toolbox talks, and on-the-job training for guards.

• Monitor attendance, shift deployment, and manpower availability.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and statutory requirements.

• Support crowd management during public events, festivals, and VIP visits.

• Protect company assets and maintain a safe environment for the public using the lake premises.
