Security Guard – Job Description

Job Title: Security Guard
Department: Security
Reporting To: Security Supervisor / Security Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the safety and security of the premises, employees, guests, visitors, and company property.

• Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles.

• Verify identification and maintain visitor and vehicle records.

• Conduct regular security rounds and monitor the premises for suspicious activities.

• Monitor CCTV cameras and report any unusual or unauthorized activity.

• Prevent theft, damage, unauthorized access, and other security-related incidents.

• Handle emergency situations such as fire, accidents, fights, or unauthorized entry according to company procedures.

• Maintain proper security logs, incident reports, and daily records.

• Coordinate with management, police, fire services, or emergency personnel when required.

• Ensure that security rules and company policies are followed by employees and visitors.

• Assist in crowd control and parking/vehicle management when required.

• Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills:

• Good observation and alertness.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm during emergencies.

• Basic knowledge of security procedures and fire safety.

• Physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods.

• Honest, disciplined, punctual, and responsible.

• Previous security experience will be an advantage.
