Job Title: Security Guard – Warehouse

Department: Administration

Reporting To: Warehouse Supervisor / Admin Department

Job Location: Warehouse – Mira Road (East)

Working Hours: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (6 days a week, with weekly off as per company policy)

Job Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the warehouse premises during the assigned shift. The role primarily involves monitoring entry and exit of personnel and vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and remaining vigilant to prevent unauthorized access or suspicious activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and regulate the entry and exit of all staff, visitors, and vehicles entering the warehouse.

• Maintain a register of all incoming and outgoing vehicles, including date, time, vehicle number, purpose of visit, and driver's details.

• Record attendance and movement of visitors in the visitor register and ensure necessary approvals are obtained before granting entry.

• Verify the identity of visitors before allowing access to the premises.

• Ensure that only authorized personnel enter restricted warehouse areas.

• Conduct regular surveillance of the warehouse premises during the assigned shift.

• Report any suspicious activity, security concerns, or safety hazards immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor or concerned authority.

• Ensure warehouse gates remain secure when not in use.

• Assist during emergencies by informing the appropriate personnel and following company security procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the security cabin and registers.

• Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the management.

Required Skills

• Alert, observant, and responsible.

• Basic reading and writing skills for maintaining registers.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm and act promptly during emergencies.

• Honest, disciplined, and punctual.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: 10th Pass (preferred).

• Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

• Physically fit and capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
