IBM MQ Administrator IBM MQ Administrator Job Description Role Summary Middleware Engineer responsible for administration support of IBM MQ messaging platforms across LinuxUnix environments with strong networking fundamentals The role focuses on ensuring high availability stability security and compliance of enterprise messaging systems Primary Responsibilities Install configure and maintain IBM MQ environments across LinuxUnix platforms Administer MQ objects including queue managers queues channels listeners topics and subscriptions Configure and manage MQ clustering distributed queuing and HADR multiinstance RDQM setups Monitor system health message flows queue depth and performance perform tuning and capacity planning Troubleshoot MQ OS and networkrelated issues including connectivity latency and message backlog Implement and maintain MQ security SSLTLS certificates CHLAUTH OAM policies Collaborate with application network and infrastructure teams for integration and issue resolution Perform patching upgrades backuprestore and environment hardening activities Support production environments 247 incident management and provide RCA for critical issues Primary MustHave Skills Strong handson experience with IBM MQ v8v9 administration Expertise in LinuxUnix system administration Good understanding of networking fundamentals TCPIP ports firewall DNS load balancing Experience in MQ clustering distributed queuing and HADR setups Strong troubleshooting skills across MQ OS Network layers Experience with SSLTLS configuration and certificate management GoodtoHave Skills Kafka Messaging platforms Kafka EMS RabbitMQ IBM Integration Bus IIB ACE DataPower Cloud platforms AWSAzure MQ deployments networking Automation scripting Shell Python Ansible Monitoring tools Dynatrace Splunk Grafana AppDynamics Experience Qualifications Bachelor Degree or equivalent P3 710 years of relevant experience Experience in production support and ITIL processes
