Job Purpose:
To drive sales and market share of the company’s fertilizer products by building strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and farmers, while ensuring timely collection, market development, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for fertilizers in the assigned territory.
Identify and appoint new distributors, dealers, and retailers to expand the company’s network.
Conduct farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and promotional activities to create demand.
Provide technical guidance to farmers on the correct usage and benefits of fertilizers.
Maintain strong relationships with channel partners (dealers, distributors, retailers) for smooth business operations.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and provide timely feedback to management.
Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company credit policies.
Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and MIS to management.
Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams for timely delivery of products.
Support in branding, marketing campaigns, and participation in agri-exhibitions/fairs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Agri-Business / Science / Marketing (preferred B.Sc. Agriculture).
1–3 years of sales experience in agri-inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, seeds) preferred. Freshers with agriculture background may also apply.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Knowledge of local farming practices, crops, and soil management.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools.
Willingness to travel extensively in rural and semi-urban areas.
