Identify, evaluate, and source electronic components such as ICs, MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors, controllers, PCBs, connectors, transformers, sensors, and power modules.
Manage local & global purchasing from countries like China, Taiwan, Japan, USA, and Europe.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships with global distributors (e.g., Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, RS Components, Element14).
Identify new suppliers and evaluate them based on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, MOQs, lead times, and annual contracts.
Conduct vendor audits with coordination from QA/R&D when required.
Understand BOM (Bill of Materials) and project requirements from the R&D team.
Work closely with R&D to ensure availability of the right components for prototypes and mass production.
Coordinate with production to maintain optimum inventory levels and prevent line stoppage.
Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
Manage import documentation, shipping terms (Incoterms), customs clearance, and logistics.
Track shipments end-to-end for international orders.
Conduct cost comparison, market analysis, and monitor price fluctuations in electronic components.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Work on alternate sourcing with R&D for long lead-time or obsolete components.
Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, supplier data, and pricing history.
Ensure timely GRN entries and coordination with the store department.
Maintain component lifecycle management (EOL / NRND tracking).
