Hospital Insurance Coordinator (Onsite at Client Hospital)

Job Summary

The Hospital Insurance Coordinator will be stationed at the client hospital and will be responsible for handling insurance-related tasks, medical billing processes, and patient/insurance queries. The candidate will ensure seamless insurance workflows, resolve billing or claim issues including rejections, and act as the primary point of contact for insurance, hospital, and patient-related inquiries. Proficiency in Kannada & English and strong communication skills are essential.​

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify patient insurance claims and medical bills as per hospital and insurance standards.​

• Review claimed services, identify and resolve insurance rejections or denials with appropriate follow-up action.​

• Liaise with insurance companies, hospital billing staff, and patients to clarify claim status and policy coverage.​

• Respond promptly and professionally to all queries from the hospital, insurance companies, or patients with effective solutions.​

• Maintain up-to-date records and documentation of all insurance-related transactions.​

• Educate patients and hospital staff on insurance process, required documents, and claim lifecycle.​

• Ensure all insurance billing and correspondence are completed accurately and within timelines.​

• Provide regular updates to hospital administration regarding claim outcomes, trends, and follow-up status.​

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in health insurance coordination, medical billing, or a similar administrative role in healthcare.​

• In-depth knowledge of health insurance practices, billing processes, and relevant terminology.​

• Must be fluent in Kannada and able to communicate clearly with patients, staff, and insurance providers.​

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.​

• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple queries, and ensure all issues are addressed promptly.​

• Basic computer skills for managing claim forms, emails, and reports.
