Salesman Job Roles – Sangam Sweets
1. Customer Service
Welcome and greet customers politely.
Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable sweets, snacks, and bakery items.
Provide information about product varieties, ingredients, prices, and offers.
Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
2. Sales & Promotion
Promote Sangam Sweets products to customers.
Upsell and cross-sell items such as sweets, snacks, gift boxes, and bakery products.
Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
Inform customers about festival offers, combos, and discounts.
3. Billing & Payment Handling
Prepare bills using POS / billing system.
Handle cash, UPI, card payments, and issue receipts.
Maintain accurate cash balance and avoid discrepancies.
4. Product Display & Counter Management
Arrange sweets and snacks attractively in the display counter.
Ensure proper labeling (price, name, date).
Refill stock when items are low and inform supervisor.
5. Packing & Order Handling
Weigh sweets and prepare parcels for customers.
Pack sweets in boxes, gift packs, or bulk orders.
Handle takeaway and special orders properly.
6. Hygiene & Food Safety
Maintain cleanliness at the sales counter and shop.
Follow hygiene standards such as wearing cap, gloves, and uniform.
Follow food safety guidelines and maintain product quality.
7. Stock Monitoring
Check stock availability regularly.
Follow FIFO (First-In-First-Out) for sweets and perishable items.
Report shortages or damages to the supervisor.
8. Outlet Operations Support
Assist in opening and closing of the outlet.
Coordinate with kitchen/production team for fresh stock.
Support team members during peak hours or festival rush.
✅ Basic Requirements
Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass
Good communication skills
Customer handling ability
Basic billing/POS knowledge preferred
Neat appearance and polite behaviour
