Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Receipt & Issue
Receive incoming materials, verify quantity and specifications against purchase orders and challans.
Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and ensure correct documentation for all inward entries.
Issue materials to production, maintenance, and toolroom as per approved material requisitions.
Follow the FIFO system for material issue to ensure proper inventory rotation and traceability.
2. Inventory Control & Stock Management
Maintain accurate stock records (physical vs. system) in ERP / Excel.
Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile differences in coordination with Accounts.
Monitor minimum / maximum stock levels, generate indents, and raise alerts for replenishment.
Ensure proper storage, segregation, labeling, and binning of all materials to avoid mix-ups.
3. Documentation & ERP System
Maintain all store records, stock ledgers, bin cards, and material inward/outward registers.
Update inventory transactions in ERP (SAP / Tally / ERPNext) daily.
Coordinate with Purchase and Accounts for invoice verification, vendor material returns, and follow-ups.
Prepare stock reports, consumption summaries, and audit documentation for management review.
4. Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance
Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping in the store area.
Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous, flammable, and chemical materials.
Support internal and external audits (ISO / IATF) by providing accurate inventory data.
5. Coordination & Team Support
Coordinate closely with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Maintenance for smooth material flow.
Suggest process improvements for space utilization, material tracking, and inventory accuracy.
Supervise helpers and ensure adherence to store SOPs and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / Diploma in Materials Management, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
5–10 years of experience in Store / Inventory / Material Management in a manufacturing or plastic injection molding environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Tally / ERPNext) and Excel-based stock control.
Strong understanding of GRN, FIFO, issue slips, and stock reconciliation procedures.
Exposure to Toolroom / Engineering / Plastic Industry preferred.
