Store Manager – Factory: Key Responsibilities
Material Management
Receive and verify raw materials, consumables, spares and other materials.
Ensure proper GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and documentation.
Check quantity and coordinate with Purchase and Quality departments.
Inventory Control
Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software.
Conduct regular physical stock verification.
Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels and reorder points.
Identify slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete stock.
Issue & Dispatch
Issue materials to Production, Maintenance, Electrical and other departments against authorized requisitions.
Maintain proper issue slips and records.
Control returnable and reusable materials.
Warehouse Management
Properly arrange and label materials location-wise.
Follow FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
Ensure safe storage of chemicals, lubricants, electrical items, spare parts, etc.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Documentation & MIS
Daily stock report.
Monthly inventory report.
Material receipt and issue reports.
Stock reconciliation.
Consumption analysis.
Pending purchase/material requirement report.
Coordination
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Maintenance, Accounts, Quality and HR/Admin.
Inform management about shortages and excess inventory.
Coordinate material requirements according to production planning.
Team Management
Manage Store Executives, Store Assistants, Helpers and loaders.
Allocate duties and shifts.
Monitor attendance, discipline and productivity.
