Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Stores In-Charge to oversee and manage store operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, smooth functioning of store activities, and adherence to company policies. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage both people and processes effectively.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Store Operations Management
Oversee all day-to-day store activities including receiving, inspection, stocking, and issuing of materials.
Ensure all materials are properly organized, labeled, and stored in a systematic manner.
Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper layout of the store area.
2. Inventory & Stock Control
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet operational needs.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with system records.
Maintain accurate inventory data and update records in the ERP/system promptly.
3. Staff Supervision & Development
Hire, train, supervise, and monitor store staff including storekeepers, helpers, and clerical assistants.
Create work schedules and assign tasks for efficient workflow.
Coach and motivate team members to achieve store and organizational objectives.
4. Vendor & Material Coordination
Coordinate with procurement and project teams for timely ordering of materials.
Ensure all incoming goods are checked for quality and quantity against purchase orders.
Maintain relationships with suppliers for smooth material supply and returns if necessary.
5. Customer & Internal Team Interaction
Respond promptly to material requests from different departments/sites.
Address and resolve any material-related queries or complaints.
Ensure timely issue of materials to meet operational schedules.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Track material inflow and outflow, and maintain all related documentation.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and consumption reports.
Provide analysis of inventory usage to support decision-making.
7. Compliance & Loss Prevention
Implement loss prevention measures such as restricted access, security checks, and surveillance.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Adhere strictly to all safety and operational protocols.
