Job Description – Store Associate

Job Title: Store Associate
Department: Retail Operations
Location: Bangalore / Store Location
Reporting To: Store Team Lead / Store Manager

Job Summary

The Store Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, supporting sales growth, ensuring product availability, and assisting in daily store operations. The role requires a customer-focused individual who can efficiently manage stock, merchandising, and billing activities while upholding company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.

• Resolve customer queries and escalate issues when necessary.

• Ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Sales & Store Operations

• Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.

• Promote offers, discounts, and loyalty programs.

• Support cross-selling and upselling initiatives.

• Assist in opening and closing store activities.

Inventory Management

• Receive, check, and organize incoming stock.

• Ensure accurate shelf replenishment and product availability.

• Monitor expiry dates and remove damaged products.

• Participate in stock counts and inventory audits.

Merchandising & Store Maintenance

• Maintain attractive product displays as per merchandising guidelines.

• Ensure shelves are clean, organized, and properly labeled.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the store.

• Follow visual merchandising standards.

Billing & Cash Handling

• Assist customers at billing counters.

• Handle cash, card, and digital payments accurately.

• Follow billing procedures and cash reconciliation processes.

Required Qualifications

• PUC / Any Graduate preferred.

• 0–3 years of experience in retail, grocery, FMCG, or customer service.

• Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
