Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming materials, supplies, groceries, linen, and equipment.
Check quantity and quality against the Purchase Order (PO) and Delivery Challan.
Report discrepancies or damages to the Store Keeper / Purchase Manager immediately.
Arrange items systematically in designated racks/shelves.
Ensure FIFO or FEFO method is followed for perishables and consumables.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the store area as per hotel standards.
Issue items to departments (Kitchen, Housekeeping, Service, Engineering, Front Office, etc.) based on approved indents.
Record issues accurately in the system or manual register.
Avoid unauthorized or excess issuing.
Maintain daily stock levels and update inventory records promptly.
Assist in weekly, monthly, and quarterly stock-taking.
Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and near-expiry items and report to the supervisor.
Update receipts, issues, and stock transfers in the hotel PMS or inventory software (ex: Spine HR, IDS, Birhgt, QW, etc.).
Maintain physical records of GRN, PO, invoices, and indents.
Ensure documents are properly filed for audit purposes.
Discuss daily requirements with Chef, Housekeeping Supervisor, Engineering, and other department heads.
Coordinate with the Purchase Department for shortages or urgent requirements.
Ensure store room is locked and access-controlled.
Monitor temperatures of cold storage/freezer for food items.
Prevent wastage, pilferage, or misuse of materials.
Follow hotel SOPs, FSSAI norms (for food items), and hygiene standards.
Ensure proper labelling, expiry date monitoring, and safe food storage practice.
Assist during internal/external audits.
Support Storekeeper in daily operations.
Maintain housekeeping standards inside and around the store area.
Assist in disposal of scrap items as per policy.
Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is Diploma and 0.5 - 2 years of experience. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, solid organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
