Job Title: Shift Manager

Location: Popeyes Restaurant

Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Manager

Job Summary

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent customer service, and adherence to company standards. This role focuses on supervising staff, managing daily tasks, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shift Operations

• Manage day-to-day operations during assigned shifts

• Ensure food is prepared and served according to Popeyes quality standards

• Monitor speed of service and resolve operational issues quickly

• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the restaurant

2. Team Supervision

• Lead and supervise crew members during shifts

• Assign tasks and ensure team productivity

• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching

• Handle staff concerns and maintain a positive work environment

3. Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer experience at all times

• Handle customer complaints professionally and promptly

• Ensure service standards are consistently followed

4. Cash & Inventory Control

• Manage cash registers, billing, and daily cash reconciliation

• Monitor inventory usage and report shortages or wastage

• Assist in stock receiving and storage

5. Compliance & Safety

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations

• Ensure team adherence to company policies and procedures

• Maintain safety standards for both staff and customers

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1–3 years of experience in QSR, hospitality, or retail

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic understanding of cash handling and inventory
