Job Summary
The Pharmacy Retail & Counter Sales Executive is responsible for assisting customers, dispensing medications as per prescriptions (under supervision of a licensed pharmacist), and ensuring smooth day-to-day retail operations. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service & Sales
Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
Handle over-the-counter (OTC) product sales and provide basic product information
Promote store products, offers, and healthcare items to achieve sales targets
Address customer queries and resolve complaints effectively
2. Prescription Handling
Receive and process prescriptions accurately under pharmacist supervision
Ensure correct billing and labeling of medicines
Maintain confidentiality of patient information
3. Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and report shortages
Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking medicines and healthcare products
Check expiry dates regularly and remove expired/damaged stock
Maintain proper storage conditions as per guidelines
5. Store Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
Ensure proper display of products and adherence to merchandising standards
Follow safety, hygiene, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy or relevant field (preferred)
Knowledge: Basic understanding of medicines, OTC products, and healthcare items
Skills:
