Job Description – Store Audit / Inventory Manager

Department: Retail Operations
Location: Richmond Road - Bangalore
Reporting To: Operations Head / Finance Head

Role Purpose

The Store Audit / Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing inventory control, conducting store audits, ensuring stock accuracy, minimizing losses, and maintaining compliance across all retail stores and project locations of Gopalan Enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Inventory Management

• Monitor daily stock movement across stores.

• Ensure accurate physical stock verification and system reconciliation.

• Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels.

• Track slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete stock.

• Coordinate stock transfers between stores/projects.

🔹 Store Audit & Compliance

• Conduct periodic internal store audits.

• Identify stock discrepancies and investigate root causes.

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and audit standards.

• Submit audit reports with corrective action plans.

• Ensure proper GRN, billing, and stock inward/outward documentation.

🔹 Loss Prevention & Control

• Implement measures to reduce shrinkage and pilferage.

• Monitor stock variance and ensure corrective measures.

• Coordinate with store managers to improve inventory discipline.

🔹 Reporting & MIS

• Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports.

• Maintain stock valuation records.

• Share audit findings with management.

• Support finance during stock reconciliation and closing.

🔹 ERP & System Management

• Ensure all stock entries are updated in ERP system.

• Maintain inventory accuracy in SAP / Tally / ERP systems.

• Generate system-based audit and inventory reports.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Logistics / Business Administration.

• 5–8 years of experience in Retail / Mall / Real Estate inventory management.

• Strong knowledge of store audits and stock reconciliation.

• Experience in ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Inventory Software).

• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
