Job Title: Head Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Head Cashier to lead our front-end checkout operations. The ideal candidate will oversee cashier activities, ensure accurate cash handling, deliver excellent customer service, and support the daily operations of the store. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support cashier team members.

• Ensure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and end-of-day reconciliation.

• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.

• Monitor checkout efficiency and maintain smooth front-end operations.

• Assist with scheduling, shift assignments, and performance coaching.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention standards.

• Handle returns, exchanges, refunds, and other customer transactions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.

• Coordinate with store management to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of cashier experience, with previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Strong mathematical and cash-handling skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Ability to lead a team and solve problems effectively.

• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system knowledge.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
