Key Responsibilities

1. Surface Preparation

Clean, sandblast, and prepare parts for coating.
Remove rust, oils, dirt, and old coatings as required.
Mask or plug areas that should not be coated.

2. Powder Coating Application

Set up and operate powder coating spray guns and equipment.
Apply powder coating evenly and according to specifications.
Adjust gun settings (voltage, air pressure, powder flow) to achieve proper finish.
Monitor coating thickness using gauges.

3. Curing & Finishing

Place coated parts into ovens and monitor baking times and temperatures.
Inspect finished surfaces for defects such as runs, thin spots, or contamination.
Conduct touch-ups or rework when needed.

4. Quality Control

Perform visual inspections and use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, thickness gauges).
Ensure coatings meet customer and industry standards.

5. Equipment Maintenance

Clean spray equipment, booths, and ovens regularly.
Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues.
Maintain safe and organized workspace.

6. Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols including PPE use.
