Conduct laboratory experiments to test adhesion, viscosity, drying time, and resistance to weather, chemicals, or abrasion.
Analyze raw materials and select appropriate pigments, binders, solvents, and additives.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to manufacturing teams.
Document research findings, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance teams, and product managers to meet customer requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends, sustainable materials, and emerging technologies in coatings.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
Strong knowledge of organic and polymer chemistry.
Experience with paint formulation, coatings technology, or related industries.
