Job Title: Staff Nurse

Department: Nursing (ICU, NICU, General Ward, Emergency)
Reports To: Nursing In-charge / Nursing Superintendent
Location: Vedansh Super specialty Hospital & Heart Centre

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and speedy recovery in accordance with established medical protocols and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining patient records.

• Assist doctors during rounds, examinations, and procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control standards in the ward.

• Ensure proper documentation of nursing notes, medication charts, and treatment records.

• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.

• Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.

• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient confidentiality protocols.

• Participate in training sessions, audits, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing (Registered with State Nursing Council).

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years preferred (freshers may also apply).

• Skills Required:

• Good clinical and patient-handling skills

• Knowledge of infection control and hospital safety procedures

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Compassionate and patient-centered approach

Work Schedule:

• Rotational shifts (Morning / Evening / Night)

Compensation:

• As per hospital norms / based on experience
