Job Title: Clinical Specialist / Operating Theatre (OT) Device Executive – Orthopedics

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly trained and detail-oriented Clinical Specialist / OT Device Executive based out of the Chandigarh / Mohali / Tricity region. In this role, you will work directly inside the Operating Theatre (OT) alongside orthopedic surgeons and medical staff. You will serve as the hands-on expert managing our premium portfolio of orthopedic implants, biopsy guns, surgical sutures, and advanced surgical equipment.

Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that all implants and technical equipment are perfectly prepared, sterilized, calibrated, and seamlessly supported during live surgical procedures. Frequent daily travel to various hospitals across the Tricity and surrounding regions to align with surgical schedules is a core requirement of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Intra-Operative Orthopedic Support: Stand by the orthopedic surgical team inside the OT to provide real-time technical guidance on implant fitting, suture selection, and the precise operation of biopsy guns.

• Travel & Hospital Coverage: Travel daily across hospitals in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula (Tricity), and surrounding areas to support scheduled orthopedic surgeries.

• Pre-Operative Preparation: Set up, calibrate, and test specialized orthopedic instruments, biopsy devices, and implant trays prior to surgery to ensure 100% case readiness.

• Sterilization & Compliance: Ensure all implants, biopsy guns, and specialized device components strictly adhere to aseptic techniques, hospital infection control protocols, and sterilization guidelines.

• Surgeon & Staff Collaboration: Act as the trusted technical point of contact for surgeons and scrub nurses, advising on suture parameters and handling specialized equipment as needed.

• Inventory & Transit Management: Manage inventory of specialized sutures, biopsy guns, and orthopedic implants, ensuring the correct kits and stock levels travel to the assigned hospital on time.

• Post-Operative Reporting: Complete precise device usage logs, consumption sheets, and technical documentation in compliance with hospital regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or a closely related clinical field.

• Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of proven experience working inside an Operating Theatre (OT) environment. Direct experience handling orthopedic implants, biopsy equipment, or surgical sutures is highly preferred.

• Travel Flexibility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal two-wheeler/four-wheeler with a strong willingness to travel daily across the Tricity region at short notice based on surgery schedules.

• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of orthopedic surgical workflows, sterilization autoclaves, and medical device compliance.

• Soft Skills: Ability to stay calm, focused, and adaptable under high-pressure surgical environments. Strong time-management and coordination skills are critical for multi-site travel.
