A Staff Nurse provides compassionate and professional nursing care to patients in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or other healthcare settings. They assess patients, administer treatments, monitor recovery, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients' health conditions and record medical histories.
Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home care.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed.
Coordinate with doctors, pharmacists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Supervise and guide nursing assistants or junior staff when required.
Maintain medical equipment and ensure a clean, safe patient environment.
