Before Surgery (Pre-Operative)
Check patient identity, medical history, and signed consent forms.
Prepare and clean the operation room and sterile trays.
Help the anesthesia team set up safe drugs and machines.
During Surgery (Intra-Operative)
Scrub Nurse: Stays in the sterile zone, hands tools to the surgeon, and tracks sterile items.
Circulating Nurse: Stays outside the sterile zone, manages machine power, and records events.
Count all surgical tools, needles, and sponges before and after the operation.
After Surgery (Post-Operative)
Move the patient safely to the recovery room.
Write complete medical notes and update records.
Clean and restock the room for the next patient.
