A 24/7 patient care job involves providing round-the-clock, in-home or facility-based support for bedridden, elderly, or recovering patients. Caregivers ensure safety, mobility, personal hygiene, and medication management while offering emotional companionship. Responsibilities include daily living assistance (bathing, feeding), monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort, often requiring 1-2 years of experience and high reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care & Hygiene: Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and diaper changes.

• Medical Monitoring: Checking vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature), administering medication, and managing, if required, catheters or oxygen, according to CareOxy Healthcare.

• Mobility Support: Helping with repositioning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores, transferring to wheelchairs, and assisted walking.

• Nutrition & Diet: Preparing meals and providing feeding assistance.

• Companionship & Safety: Providing emotional support, monitoring for safety, and responding to emergency needs at any time of the day or night.
