Patient Care

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care

Assist with bathing, grooming, oral care, and toileting

Help with dressing and personal hygiene

Change diapers, catheter bags, and assist with bedpans (if required)

Mobility & Support

Assist patients with walking, sitting, standing, and transfers

Help with positioning and turning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores

Support use of walkers, wheelchairs, or other aids

Feeding & Nutrition

Assist with feeding and ensure proper nutrition

Follow prescribed diet plans (diabetic, post-surgery, etc.)

Encourage fluid intake as advised

Health Monitoring

Measure and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, oxygen level)

Observe and report changes in patient condition

Remind patients to take medicines as prescribed (not administer unless trained)

Basic Nursing Care

Bed making and linen changing

Wound care support as instructed by nurse/doctor

Maintain cleanliness of patient area and equipment

Emotional Support

Provide companionship and emotional comfort

Communicate respectfully with patients and family members

Maintain patient privacy and dignity

Safety & Hygiene

Follow infection control and hygiene practices

Ensure a safe home environment to prevent falls

Proper disposal of medical waste

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily care records

Report emergencies or unusual symptoms immediately

Coordinate with nurses, doctors, or supervisors

Skills & Qualifications

Basic training in patient care or caregiving (preferred)

Knowledge of hygiene and safety practices

Good communication and patience

Ability to handle elderly, bedridden, or post-surgery patients

Physically fit and emotionally compassionate

Patient’s home

Day shift / Night shift / 24-hours
