A patient care job involves assisting with daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding), monitoring vital signs, providing emotional support, and helping with mobility, all under the guidance of nurses, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and timely reporting of any health changes to the medical team. Duties range from basic hygiene and companionship (like a PCA/CNA) to basic medical tasks (like a PCT, e.g., drawing blood, EKG), focusing on improving a patient's quality of life and facilitating seamless care. 

• Checking patients’ blood pressure, heartbeat and pulse regularly

• Providing compassionate care by listening to patients’ concerns and guiding them by answering any questions or concerns

• Monitoring patients’ conditions and providing updates to healthcare team

• Turning, repositioning and move patients between beds, wheelchairs and seats

• Helping patients use the bathroom and dress

• Monitoring patients’ food and liquid intake
