Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care Management

• Ensure quality nursing care is provided to all patients.

• Monitor patient assessments, treatment plans, and nursing interventions.

• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards.

• Handle patient complaints and resolve nursing-related issues.

2. Nursing Staff Supervision

• Supervise and guide staff nurses, nursing assistants, and ward attendants.

• Prepare duty rosters and manage shift schedules.

• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.

• Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions.

3. Clinical Operations

• Ensure proper documentation of patient records and nursing notes.

• Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare professionals for patient management.

• Monitor medication administration and adherence to clinical protocols.

• Ensure availability and proper utilization of medical equipment and supplies.

4. Quality & Compliance

• Implement hospital policies, nursing standards, and protocols.

• Ensure compliance with NABH, JCI, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.

• Monitor infection prevention and control practices.

5. Training & Development

• Train newly joined nursing staff.

• Conduct skill development programs and clinical education sessions.

• Evaluate staff competencies and recommend improvements.

6. Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing records, reports, and inventory logs.

• Coordinate with HR regarding staffing requirements and recruitment.

• Manage nursing department resources effectively.

• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. Nursing / GNM Nursing from a recognized institution.

• Valid Nursing Council Registration.
