Role Overview:
The school nanny supports the well-being, safety, and daily care of young children within the school and school transport. She assists children with their personal needs, maintains a clean and orderly environment, and works alongside teachers to ensure a nurturing, safe, and supportive atmosphere for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times within the school premises.
Assist children with personal care needs such as toileting, washing hands, eating, and dressing when required.
Support children during snack and meal times, promoting healthy habits and independence.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, washrooms, and common areas to ensure a safe environment.
Help in setting up and organizing learning spaces, including arranging materials and furniture as directed by teachers.
Comfort and attend to children when they are unwell, upset, or in need of reassurance.
Monitor and report any health concerns, unusual behavior, or accidents to the teacher/school administration promptly.
Assist in outdoor play and transitions (arrival, dispersal, bus duty, etc.).
Foster an atmosphere of warmth, care, respect, and patience with children and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Prior experience working with young children in a school, daycare, or caregiving role preferred.
Basic knowledge of child safety, hygiene, and first aid.
Warm, caring, and patient personality with a genuine love for children.
Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
Responsible, reliable, and attentive to details.
