Medical Transcriptionist – Job Description (Only Female Candidates)

Position: Medical Transcriptionist

Department: Medical Records / Health Information Management

Experience: 1–3

Employment Type: Full-time

Roles & Responsibilities

Listen to audio recordings from doctors and convert them into accurate written medical reports.

Transcribe discharge summaries, OPD notes, operative notes, radiology reports, and consultation notes.

Ensure accuracy in medical terminology, grammar, and formatting.

Review and edit transcribed reports for clarity and correctness.

Maintain confidentiality of patient medical records as per hospital policies.

Upload and manage reports in EMR/HIS systems.

Coordinate with doctors for clarification when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Certification/Diploma in Medical Transcription or any PUC.

Good knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent English typing speed and accuracy.

Familiarity with EMR/HIS software.

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Knowledge of MS Word Typing and basic computer skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in hospital or diagnostic center.

Ability to handle multiple reports simultaneously.
