📌 Job Summary

A Home Care Assistant provides personal care and daily living support to patients (elderly, disabled, or recovering individuals) at their homes. The goal is to ensure comfort, safety, and improved quality of life.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

1. Personal Care (ADL – Activities of Daily Living)

Bathing, grooming, and dressing the patient

Toileting and hygiene support

Feeding assistance

2. Mobility Support

Walking assistance

Wheelchair handling

Helping with transfers (bed to chair, etc.)

3. Medical Support

Medication administration (as prescribed)

Monitoring vital signs (if trained)

Assisting with medical equipment

4. Specialized Care

Colostomy bag handling and cleaning

Bed making and maintaining hygiene

Handling patients with specific conditions

5. Daily Support

Providing companionship and emotional support

🎯 Skills & Requirements

Basic healthcare or caregiving training

Knowledge of patient care (ADL, hygiene, mobility)

Ability to handle patients safely

Good communication and patience

Physically fit (example: able to assist patients ~60 kg or more)

📚 Preferred Qualifications

Certification in caregiving / nursing assistant

Experience in home care or hospital setting

Knowledge of first aid
