. Patient Care Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL): bathing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting.

Help patients with mobility: walking, turning, positioning, shifting, transferring to wheelchair/bed.

Support in checking vital signs if trained: temperature, pulse, respiration, BP (under supervision).

Assist in catheter care, perineal care, bed-making, and pressure sore prevention.

Escort patients for tests, procedures, or discharge.

B. Hygiene & Safety

Maintain patient room/ward cleanliness.

Ensure clean linen and proper disposal of soiled linen.

Follow infection control protocols (hand hygiene, PPE use).

Dispose biomedical waste in proper color-coded bins.

C. Support to Nursing Staff

Carry out tasks assigned by nurses or in-charge.

Assist in preparing patients for procedures.

Help in stocking and maintaining supplies: gloves, syringes, linen, sanitizers.

Report patient condition changes immediately to nurse.

D. Administrative & Other Duties

Maintain patient movement register/log.

Help in transporting samples to labs and bringing medicines from pharmacy.

Attend training and skill-upgradation sessions.

Maintain confidentiality and respect patient dignity.

3. Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 10th pass (12th preferred).

Certification in ANM/ GDA/Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide (NHS, NSDC, RPL or equivalent).

Basic understanding of hygiene, caregiving, and first aid.

Good communication skills and empathy.

Physically fit for lifting/shifting tasks.

4. Work Environment

Work in shifts (morning/night).

May require lifting patients, working with infectious materials, and long hours of standing.
