Age- 18 to 32 Only.
Duty hours: - 8 .5 hours
Salary- 10k to 12k
Job Summary:
A General Duty Assistant (GDA) plays a critical support role in hospitals and healthcare facilities by assisting nurses, doctors, and other healthcare staff in providing basic patient care. Their role ensures patient comfort, safety, hygiene, and smooth daily operations in clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
•
Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
•
Help in shifting, lifting, or transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs/stretchers.
•
Support patients with toileting and personal hygiene needs.
•
Monitor and report changes in the patient’s condition to nursing staff.
Support to Medical Staff:
•
Assist nurses in procedures like dressing wounds, checking vitals (temperature, pulse, BP).
•
Prepare and maintain patient rooms, beds, and belongings.
•
Transport lab samples, medications, and documents within departments.
Infection Control & Cleanliness:
•
Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
•
Follow hygiene protocols like handwashing, PPE usage, and cleaning/disinfecting surfaces.
•
Dispose of medical waste safely as per hospital norms.
Administrative Tasks:
•
Maintain records of patient movement and activities as instructed.
•
Handle non-clinical responsibilities like delivering messages or escorting visitors.
Skills & Competencies:
•
Compassion and patience in dealing with elderly/sick patients.
•
Basic understanding of patient hygiene and hospital care practices.
•
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
•
Good physical stamina and emotional strength.
•
Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
Educational Qualification:
•
Minimum: 10th Pass
