ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Maa Nest Caregiver, you will provide professional and compassionate care through the Maa Nest app.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may provide:

• Child Care: Children aged 0–11 years

• Elder Care: Older adults and people recovering after illness or hospitalisation

• Hospital Support: Eligible Elder Care bookings

Maa Nest is a flexible, booking-based platform. Caregivers choose their availability, preferred areas, approved services and bookings.

CHILD CARE

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children and maintain a safe environment

• Support meals, hygiene, dressing, naps and daily routines

• Conduct age-appropriate play and learning activities

• Support reading, homework and creative activities

• Communicate updates about the child's routine and wellbeing

• Maintain punctuality, privacy and professional boundaries

Who Can Apply

Relevant qualifications include:

• ECCE / ECE / Early Childhood Education

• Montessori / NTT / MTT

• D.El.Ed / B.Ed / M.Ed

• Child Development / Human Development

• Psychology / Child Psychology

• BSW / MSW

• Special Education

• Other relevant childcare qualifications

Experience required:

• 1+ year with a directly related childcare qualification

• 2+ years with a related degree

• 3+ years for graduates entering through formal childcare training

Freshers without hands-on childcare experience are not eligible for independent in-home childcare.

ELDER CARE

Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and attentive supervision

• Assist with mobility, transfers and personal care

• Support meals, hydration and medication reminders

• Assist with post-hospital and recovery care

• Provide eligible hospital and overnight support

• Observe and report changes in wellbeing

• Record vital signs where included in the approved service

• Escalate safety concerns and emergencies appropriately

Who Can Apply

Applicants must have:

• ANM

• GNM

• B.Sc Nursing

• Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
  Any relevant degree in Childcare and Eldercare.

A valid State Nursing Council registration is required and verified by Maa Nest.

Maa Nest Elder Care is a non-medical care service.

Caregivers must not diagnose conditions, prescribe or change medication, or independently perform medical treatment. Any permitted clinical task must be within the caregiver's qualification, competence and approved booking scope.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Depending on the service, applicants must have:

• 18+ years of age

• Relevant qualification or professional training

• Relevant hands-on care experience

• Conversational English or a local language

• Smartphone with active mobile number

• Aadhaar for DigiLocker verification

• Bank account in their own name

• Ability to travel independently

• Willingness to complete Maa Nest verification

• Strong responsibility, punctuality and safety awareness

• Respect for privacy and confidentiality

Elder Care applicants must additionally provide nursing qualification and valid nursing registration.

PREFERRED

• Newborn / infant experience

• Toddler or twin experience

• Special-needs support

• Paediatric First Aid / CPR

• Montessori / ECCE experience

• Multiple Indian languages

Elder Care

• BLS / CPR / First Aid

• Geriatric or dementia care

• Stroke, palliative, post-operative or bedridden care

• Hospital or home-care experience

• Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or other Indian languages

WORKING MODEL

Maa Nest is a flexible, booking-based platform.

Caregivers can:

• Choose available days and hours

• Select preferred service areas

• Choose approved services

• View booking details and earnings

• Accept bookings that suit their availability

• Work part-time or take more bookings based on availability

Elder Care bookings may include in-home, post-hospital, in-hospital, overnight and package-based care.

EARNINGS & BENEFITS

Maa Nest is not a fixed-salary employment model. Earnings depend on bookings, care type, duration and availability.

Child Care: Up to ₹25,000–₹50,000/month, depending on bookings and hours worked.

SAFETY & VERIFICATION

Caregivers must complete Maa Nest's verification before accepting bookings.

Verification may include:

• Aadhaar / DigiLocker verification

• Face verification

• Background verification

• Qualification verification

• Nursing registration verification for Elder Care

• Police verification where required

Maa Nest also provides booking safety features including OTP-based booking start, location safety features and Emergency SOS.
