Job Title: Automotive Infotainment Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and tech-savvy Automotive Infotainment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and updating car Android systems.

From troubleshooting Bluetooth and navigation glitches to configuring advanced telematics and smart integration (like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), you will ensure our customers enjoy a seamless connected driving experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnostic & Repair: Troubleshoot complex infotainment issues, including touchscreen failures, navigation errors, audio distortion, and wireless connectivity drops.

• Software & Firmware Management: Perform system flashes, software updates, and over-the-air (OTA) updates to resolve software bugs and recalls.

• Electrical Work: Read and interpret automotive wiring schematics to diagnose communication network issues (such as CAN bus, LIN bus, or MOST networks).

• Hardware Installation: Carefully remove and replace interior trim, dashboards, head units, amplifiers, cameras, and microphones without causing cosmetic or structural damage.

• Customer Education: Clearly explain system operations to customers and help them pair devices, set up profiles, and configure telematics applications.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough post-repair road tests and diagnostic scans to confirm all connected car systems are fully operational.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: [1–3+ years] of experience specializing in automotive electronics, car audio installation, or dealership electrical diagnostics.

• Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android), Bluetooth protocols, and Wi-Fi hotspot configurations.

• Tool Proficiency: Experience using automotive diagnostic scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized trim removal tools.

• Detail-Oriented: Ability to handle delicate electronic components and fragile interior plastic clips with patience and precision.

• Communication: Strong communication skills to translate complex tech issues into simple terms for customers.
