ROLE DEFINITION
The Technical sales & Project Engineer is responsible for bridging technical execution and market development. The role involves understanding project requirements, checking and guiding civil/technical works as per specifications, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and driving marketing & business development by approaching builders, architects, consultants, and retailers to create new business opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITY DELIVERABLE
Technical & Project Execution
Review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, and site requirements.
Ensure materials, finishes, thicknesses, installation methods, and timelines meet project and client expectations.
Marketing & Business Development
Identify and develop new market segments such as builders, architects, consultants, interior designers, and retailers.
Promote company products/solutions by combining technical expertise with marketing strategy.
Coordination & CRM
Coordinate with operations, production, sales, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Build long-term relationships with clients and influencers to drive repeat business.
TASKS & ACTIVITIES
Technical / Civil Works
• Study architectural & structural drawings, BOQs, mock-ups, and specifications
• Suggest suitable materials, finishes, thicknesses, and applications based on project needs
• Site visits (if required) to check measurements, installation readiness, and execution quality
• Coordinate with production & operations for feasibility, lead time, and execution planning
• Support sales team with technical clarifications, samples, mock-ups, and presentations
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, samples, and quality standards
Marketing & Market Development
• Identify builders, architects, consultants, retailers, and project-based clients
• Plan and execute visits, presentations, and product demos
• Collect market intelligence: competitor pricing, product gaps, trends, and customer pain points
• Develop segment-wise strategies (projects / retail / architects / builders) with management
• Assist in branding, brochures, sample kits, display strategies, and technical catalogs
• Participate in exhibitions, project meetings, and networking events
Coordination & Customer Engagement
• Act as a technical point of contact for customers during pre-sales and execution stages
• Coordinate internally with sales, operations, production, and logistics teams
• Support CRM activities by tracking leads, projects, follow-ups, and feedback
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication and problem-solving

Technical & Project Metrics
• Number of projects reviewed technically per week/month
• Accuracy of technical recommendations (rework / complaint reduction)
• Timely technical support provided to sales & operations

Marketing & Business Development Metrics
