Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to lead the promotion and sales efforts of our heavy steel structure products. This position involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing client relationships, and driving growth in the heavy steel construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing with in-depth knowledge of the steel structure market, along with leadership experience to manage a team and execute high-level marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the heavy steel structure market, targeting industries such as construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales and marketing team to achieve set sales targets and business goals.
Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with key clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and procurement managers.
Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and partners to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Market Research and Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to inform business strategies and stay ahead of industry trends.
Project Proposals and Bidding: Oversee the preparation and submission of project proposals, bids, and quotations for clients, ensuring they align with project specifications and company capabilities.
Branding and Marketing Campaigns: Lead marketing efforts including digital marketing, advertising, trade shows, social media, and industry events to promote the company’s heavy steel structure products and services.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, market insights, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaboration with Operations and Engineering: Work closely with the operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction from sales through to delivery.
Customer Support and Issue Resolution: Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the sales and project execution process.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage the sales and marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support key initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with a strong focus on the heavy steel structure, construction, or manufacturing industries.
In-depth knowledge of steel structures, fabrication processes, construction industry needs, and project lifecycle.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to create and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that align with business objectives.
Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands.
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales and marketing tools.
Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-focused approach.
Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software related to steel structures is advantageous.
Knowledge of digital marketing tools, including SEO, social media, and email marketing, to promote the brand online.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with large-scale project management in the heavy steel structure sector.
Knowledge of tendering processes and managing large commercial contracts.
Ability to analyze financial reports, budgets, and pricing strategies to drive profitability.
