Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines as per production requirements.
Perform machine setting, tool setting, and job setting for production activities.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, component drawings, and technical specifications.
Select and set appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
Understand CNC programs and make necessary program corrections or offsets when required.
Set and adjust work offsets, tool offsets, and machine parameters.
Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and ensure components meet quality standards.
Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling, and setting-related issues.
Follow production targets, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Maintain machine cleanliness and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
Coordinate with the production and quality departments to achieve daily production targets.
