VMC Machine operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines independently as per production plan and drawings.

• Perform machine setting, job loading/unloading, and tool offset adjustments.

• Read and understand engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.

• Ensure dimensional accuracy of components using measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, etc.

• Conduct in-process inspection and maintain quality standards.

• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or breakdowns.

• Maintain production records, tool usage, and inspection reports.

• Ensure proper coolant level, lubrication, and basic machine maintenance.

• Follow safety procedures, 5S, and company quality standards.

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams for smooth operations.

• Minimize rejection, rework, and machine downtime.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in operating VMC machines.

• Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi.

• Basic understanding of G-Code & M-Code.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and GD&T basics.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.

• Familiarity with measuring instruments and inspection methods.

• Understanding of safety and quality practices in manufacturing.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade.

• It is a Full Time తయారీ job for candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience.
