Job Summary

Carbon Light Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and skilled VMC (Vertical Machining Center) operator cum programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both creating precise CNC/VMC programs and setting up/operating the machinery to manufacture high-quality components. You will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, precision, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming: Develop, write, and optimize 2D/3D programming for VMC machines using CAM software (such as Mastercam, Delcam, or PowerMill) or manual G-code/M-code programming.

• Machine Setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials. Set up the machine work offsets and tool offsets independently.

• Operation: Run the VMC machine safely and efficiently to produce components according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Quality Inspection: Inspect first-off and running production pieces using precision measuring instruments (micrometer, Vernier caliper, bore gauge, etc.) to ensure 100% accuracy.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot programming errors, and address minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a VMC programmer and operator in a precision manufacturing environment.

• Technical Skills: • Strong proficiency in CAM/CAD software and manual programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controls).

  • Expertise in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols.

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.

• Soft Skills: Sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight production deadlines.
