JOB DESCRIPTION – TRAINEE TOOL MAKER

Industry: Automotive – Tier 2 Component Manufacturing

Department: Injection moulding – Tool maintenance

Location: Bommasandra bangalore.

Qualification:

• Diploma in Tool and Die Making

Experience:

• Fresher / Entry-level candidates

• On-the-job training will be provided

Shift Pattern:

• 2-shift rotational duty (General / 2nd shift)

Roles &Responsibilities:

• Assist in fabrication, fitting, assembly and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, and moulds as per drawings

• Follow IATF 16949 and customer-specific quality requirements

• Operate tool room machines such as lathe, milling, grinding, and drilling machines under supervision

• Use precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges for inspection of tool components

• Maintain tooling, maintenance, and shift records

• Support tool trials, tryouts, and minor breakdown maintenance activities

• Adhere to safety, PPE usage, 5S, and housekeeping standards

Skills &Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of tool room machines, engineering drawings, and tooling materials

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts

• Good discipline, learning attitude, and teamwork
