Job Description – Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities

Operations

• Supervise daily Solid Waste Management operations including waste collection, segregation, transportation, and processing.

• Ensure smooth execution of field operations as per client requirements and company SOPs.

• Monitor daily manpower deployment and allocate work to sanitation workers and field staff.

• Supervise collection staff, MRF workers, drivers, and housekeeping personnel.

• Ensure timely completion of daily operational activities with quality and safety standards.

• Monitor fleet movement and coordinate with drivers for uninterrupted operations.

• Conduct regular field inspections and report operational issues to the Project Manager.

• Prepare and submit daily operational, production, and attendance reports.

MRF Operations

• Supervise Material Recovery Facility (MRF) activities including waste segregation and processing.

• Verify inward waste quantity and quality.

• Monitor sorting quality and daily production activities.

• Maintain production registers, stock registers, and material traceability records.

• Ensure proper housekeeping, 5S implementation, and workplace cleanliness.

• Conduct daily shift briefings and safety toolbox talks.

• Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees.

Team Management

• Supervise and guide field staff for effective execution of daily work.

• Monitor employee attendance, shift schedules, overtime, and discipline.

• Coordinate with HR for manpower requirements and attendance verification.

• Train employees on safety procedures, operational standards, and company policies.

• Resolve day-to-day operational issues at the site.

HR & Administration

• Support recruitment activities for field workers whenever required.

• Assist in onboarding formalities and employee documentation.

• Maintain attendance registers, overtime records, and leave records.

• Maintain employee files, statutory records, and training records.

• Coordinate with HR regarding salary processing, PF, ESI, and employee grievances.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain daily operational reports, checklists, inspection reports, and client documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and statutory guidelines.

• Support internal and external audits by maintaining proper documentation.

• Maintain accurate production, attendance, and operational records.

Accounts Coordination

• Coordinate with the Accounts Department for invoices, delivery challans, purchase requisitions, and petty cash records.

• Verify supporting documents related to operational expenses.

• Follow up with contractors regarding invoices and statutory documentation.

General Responsibilities

• Ensure effective communication between the client, operations team, HR, and management.

• Maintain discipline, safety, and productivity at the project site.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the management based on project requirements.

Qualification

• Any Graduate / Diploma.

• 0–3 years of experience in Solid Waste Management, Facility Management, Housekeeping, Environmental Services, or Municipal Projects.

• Freshers with strong leadership and field coordination skills may also apply.
