Store Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers, address inquiries, offer product recommendations, and resolve complaints.

• Sales & Checkout: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, process cash/card payments, and handle refunds.

• Inventory Management: Unload deliveries, restock depleted shelves, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.

• Store Maintenance: Keep the sales floor clean, arrange attractive product displays, and perform regular price audits.

• Security & Loss Prevention: Monitor the shop floor and report suspicious activity to deter shoplifting. [1, 2, 3]

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and a friendly, customer-oriented attitude.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes, and frequently bend or reach.

• Basic Math: Proficiency in handling cash and counting change.

• Tech Literacy: Familiarity with modern register systems and basic inventory
