About the Role

Luggero is a rapidly growing Indian luggage manufacturing company with a modern manufacturing facility at Neemrana, Rajasthan.

We are looking for a hands-on Industrial Sewing Machine Technician / Mechanic who can independently handle the repair, maintenance, setting and troubleshooting of industrial stitching machines used in luggage manufacturing.

This is a full-time factory-based technical role. The candidate should be a practical technician/mechanic who can immediately diagnose machine problems and restore machines to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain industrial sewing/stitching machines used in luggage manufacturing.

• Attend machine breakdowns and minimise production downtime.

• Carry out preventive and routine maintenance.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic problems wherever applicable.

• Machine setting, timing, tension and stitch adjustment.

• Replace and repair machine parts including hooks, bobbins, loopers, needles, presser feet, belts, gears, bearings and other components.

• Ensure proper machine alignment and stitching quality.

• Install and commission new sewing machines.

• Set machines according to different materials, fabrics and stitching requirements.

• Maintain machine-wise breakdown and preventive-maintenance records.

• Maintain adequate stock/recommendation of critical machine spare parts.

• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for machine-related problems affecting stitching quality.

• Identify recurring machine failures and recommend permanent corrective actions.

• Conduct regular inspection, cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance.

• Support production line machine setup and changeovers.

• Ensure safe operation and proper housekeeping of the maintenance area.

Machines / Experience Preferred

Hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines such as:

• Single Needle Lockstitch

• Double Needle

• Overlock

• Walking Foot / Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine

• Flatlock

• Cylinder-bed machines

• Zig-zag machines

• Automatic / computerized industrial sewing machines

Experience with brands such as Juki, Brother, Pegasus, Jack, Typical, Kansai Special or similar will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be:

• Strongly hands-on and technically competent.

• Able to independently troubleshoot machine breakdowns.

• Experienced in machine timing, tension and stitch setting.

• Comfortable working in a production environment.

• Able to work under production pressure.

• Good at identifying the root cause of repeated machine problems.

• Disciplined regarding preventive maintenance and machine records.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Textile, Garment Technology, Industrial Sewing Machine Technician or relevant technical qualification preferred.

Relevant hands-on experience will be given high importance.

Experience

3–8 years of relevant experience in industrial sewing machine repair and maintenance.

Candidates with strong practical experience in garment, luggage, bags, footwear, upholstery or textile manufacturing are encouraged to apply.

Important Requirement

Hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining industrial sewing machines is mandatory.

Candidates with only general mechanical maintenance experience and no industrial sewing machine experience should not apply.
