Job Title: Senior Executive – Procurement (Mechanical)

Reports To: Procurement Manager / Head – Supply Chain

Role Overview

A dynamic and analytical professional responsible for managing end-to-end mechanical and Electrical procurement operations. The role demands strong technical understanding, vendor management skills, and strategic sourcing capabilities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement of mechanical components, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate technical specifications and prepare RFQs/RFPs for mechanical items and engineering      services.

• Source, negotiate, and finalize contracts with suppliers and OEMs for mechanical equipment and spare parts.

• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to align procurement with design and operational requirements.

• Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

• Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and documentation in ERP systems.

• Analyze market trends, cost structures, and supply risks to optimize procurement strategies.

• Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and statutory procurement norms.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and cost optimization.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory); MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain / Materaial Management preferred.

• 4–7 years of experience in mechanical procurement within manufacturing, EPC, or engineering industries.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) and MS Office tools.

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
