Job Summary
The In-Process Quality Executive will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The role involves inspection of raw materials, trolley operations, pigment and fiber usage, layering and epoxy filling processes, polishing quality, and identification of natural and process-related defects to ensure consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Trolley Area Quality Control
Inspect and monitor the quality of raw materials used in trolley operations.
Verify proper usage and mixing of fibers and pigments as per quality standards.
Ensure uniform distribution of pigments and fibers during production.
Identify and report any deviations in color consistency, material composition, or process parameters.
Simen Plant Quality Monitoring
Monitor epoxy filling processes to ensure proper filling of pores and surface imperfections.
Inspect layering operations and ensure uniform layering across slabs.
Verify adherence to production specifications and quality parameters.
Conduct regular quality checks during manufacturing stages.
Polishing Quality Inspection
Inspect slab surfaces after polishing for gloss, smoothness, and finish quality.
Ensure polishing standards are maintained throughout production.
Identify surface defects such as scratches, pinholes, dull patches, and uneven finishing.
Defect Identification & Reporting
Possess sound knowledge of natural stone defects and engineered stone quality issues.
Identify defects such as cracks, fissures, color variations, voids, air bubbles, chips, and surface imperfections.
Maintain quality inspection records and prepare defect analysis reports.
Coordinate with production teams for corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain quality checklists and inspection records.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and SOPs.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Ceramic, Mining, or related field.
Knowledge of fiber, pigment, epoxy filling, layering, and polishing processes.
Understanding of natural and engineered stone defects.
Strong observation and inspection skills.
Ability to prepare quality reports and maintain documentation.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Quartz Stone, Engineered Stone, Marble, Granite, Tiles, or Building Material Manufacturing industries.
Hands-on experience in in-process quality inspection and production quality control.
