Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Summary

Responsible for inspecting corrugated boxes at different stages of production to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and packaging requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, corrugated sheets, printed sheets, and finished boxes.

• Check box dimensions, GSM, BF/ECT, ply, flute, and board quality.

• Inspect printing quality, color, registration, cutting, creasing, slotting, and stitching/gluing.

• Check for defects such as cracks, crushing, warping, poor pasting, improper folding, and print defects.

• Perform regular quality checks during production and before dispatch.

• Verify products against customer drawings, specifications, and approved samples.

• Maintain quality inspection reports and records.

• Identify non-conforming products and coordinate with production teams for corrective action.

• Conduct basic quality tests such as compression, bursting strength, moisture, and edge crush tests where applicable.

• Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and safety requirements.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of corrugated box manufacturing and quality standards.

• Understanding of paper, board, flute, GSM, BF, ECT, and box specifications.

• Good observation and inspection skills.

• Ability to use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, GSM cutter, weighing scale, and other QC equipment.

• Basic documentation and reporting skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with production and quality teams.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in corrugated box, paper packaging, or related manufacturing quality control is preferred.

• Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

Education

ITI/Diploma/12th standard or relevant technical qualification, depending on company requirements.
